Friday Favorites

It's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to work this weekend and Isaac has some work related stuff to do also so there isn't much planned but I am hoping that he can break away from work for a while so that we can  explore someplace new this weekend.

Alright before we get into it I wanna tell you guys about something super cool (to me at least) that is happening today! I am being featured by Jodi over at Back on Land in her Military Spouse Blogger Guest Series called I Am, I Love, I Do....Basically you just answer a couple questions about yourself (who you are, what you love and a little about you and your love) so her readers (and of course y'all) can get to know you a little more. I love milspouse bloggers who support other milspouse bloggers...don't you?!? Well head over and check it out when you get a chance

Alright peeps......let's get down to the nitty gritty that is my Friday Favorites

Favorite work outfit:
I am trying to branch out and introduce more into color and fashion into my work wardrobe. I'm starting with one really thought out outfit per week and this was the one this time. If you follow me on instagram you can keep up with my choices

Favorite TV show:
Don't ask me why but Isaac and I love love love watching cops and we watch every marathon during the week even if we have seen the episodes already haha

Favorite Song:
I cannot get this song out of my head after hearing it performed a few weeks ago on The Voice by Adam Levine, Deanna Johnson and Joshua Davis and now I listen to it every single day. Best Song Ever

Favorite Picture:

For Logan, the highlight of his day is when we get stuck on the flightline and have to wait on a landing to take off. It is not my favorite part of the day but ill deal if it means I get a little bit more Spotify on my way home

Favorite Random Post:
In honor of one of the best movies ever and the sequel being available on Netflix, Biana over at B Loved Boston wrote this post on Why Elle Woods is a great role model and I have to completely agree with every word.

Favorite Funny:
I saw this on instagram and felt obligated to do the same to my friends because this is totally the story of my life

Favorite commercial:
I have seen it a million times and I still crack up...sometimes you've gotta show them you're crazier than they are and they can't ever beat you #momwin

Friday Favorites

It's the weekend! I'm not sure why but this week flew by for me! I haven't had much time to do anything but work, spend time with my guys and unpack my house the past few weeks so I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend full of nothing and a little bit of organizing since all that's left is hanging up Logan's clothes and organizing our bedroom.

Now on to my favorites at the moment

Favorite TV Show: Married at First Sight...I watched this show last season and I was instantly addicted. I couldn't figure out if it was real and if it was would it really work? I got really invested in these people that I have never met but I was excited to go on the roller coaster with them. When the season ended and they introduced the follow up show "The First Year" I was elated that I could still follow their journey. Now that the season o MAFS: The First Year is over I can get invested in a new set of strangers willing to put themselves in this awkward position all to find love.

Favorite Picture: For now while I'm working Logan is hanging out with my friend Nikita and her sweet boys. Today I got a picture of the Logan's picking out school supplies for some underprivileged children in the Philippines. When he got home he was so proud of himself for "helping them learn and do art"

Favorite Past time: It all started with a random game of Operation and it has turned into part of our daily routine. We don't watch any TV until after Logan's down for the night and we now laugh, eat dinner and play board games. The quality of our daily interactions has greatly improved.

Favorite Song: I don't know why but I am OBSESSED with this song...I really don't think that Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney could've produced anything terrible and besides who hasn't been four five seconds from going crazy and its only Wednesday hahaha

Favorite New Habit: Warm Lemon Water! I recently heard about people drinking warm lemon water in the morning and then I came across this blog post on Mommy Week  and now since I don't drink coffee this has become my morning ritual. My digestive system is already seeing benefits lol

Favorite random article (s): Isaac and I have been on a mission to improve our lives physically, spiritually, mentally and of course as I'm sure you know about my obsession with Dave Ramsey, financially. Part of that mission has led us to become more minimalistic and make an effort to own less stuff. We have also started to bring the minimalistic views into other aspects of our lives as well. While doing some research we came across this article on Becoming Minimalist  and this one on Making Room for Greatness

See who I'm linking up with this weekend

Well hello there Friday

Happy Friday y'all! It's been another slow week for me thanks to a crazy work schedule for Isaac so I've just been doing some organizing, relaxing and playing at the park with Logan. We've been in Japan almost a month and everything is still new and shiny to us here but it's been slow enough lately to stop and think about the little things we miss from home. Now don't get me wrong we all are falling in love with this beautiful country full of amazing people and we are so grateful to have these opportunities that others don't get but sometimes a girl just wants to reminisce. This Friday I'll still be doing my favorite five but it'll be my favorite things from the states that we're missing the most here in Japan

           1. In N Out
I know you can find awesome burgers all over the world but man oh man if you've been there you know there is NOTHING in this world like a double double, fries and a shake. I didn't eat there every week but a good trip once a month could hold us over. Well it's been about a month so that would explain why that is numero uno on this little list of mine

 2. Target
There aren't many people in this world that don't love Target and I there I am positive that we are not friends. Target is my happy place and basically ground zero for all shopping needs and everything wonderful in the world and I am going through some major withdrawal. No number of 100 yen stores or H&M trips can make it better and online shopping just isn't the same.

 3. DVR
Okay seriously this probably goes without saying but for those that don't know me yet I watch A LOT of television. A LOT. They show some of my shows on AFN on occasion (like parenthood, modern family, the bachelor, guys grocery games, the getaway) but you can't guarantee they will show it every week and that it'll always be at a good time. Hulu works for some things but not all shows are on there since I have a rather unhealthy relationship with reality shows and daytime talk shows. Thank goodness for Friends on Netflix because right now that's the only thing taking my mind off it my lack of DVR and cable.

 4. My sister (and nephews)
Even though we have lived in different states and now countries since I was 18 years old I have always been able to call my (favorite) sister all the time. I mean we talked on her lunch break, on my way to and from work, on breaks, when we were frustrated, well lets just say all the time. When we moved to California last January I was happy to get to spend a year with her before moving to Japan but an awesome job opportunity took her and her family (and my mom and other sister followed) to Arizona and we were back to phone call besties and phone tag. This 16 hour time difference is really jacking up our phone relationship (and Logan misses his cousins) but hey she can always follow the blog right?

 5. The Beach/view from our last house
If you follow me on instagram you know that we lived right on the beach last year kind of as an "I'm sorry I have to move away to Korea but at least you won't be too bored and the weather won't be too bad" gift from my wonderful husband. I will never get over that view and since we no longer live on the beach I am sorely missing soaking up the sun almost every day

Linking up with a ton of Friday posts as usual (Don't judge me I LOVE blog hops and link ups) soooooo click here to see where I'm linking up!
